As we look back on the month of June, we wanted to recap by sharing a major highlight we came away with. Juneteenth is a time in which we observe and celebrate black culture. That is exactly what we and several other black-owned businesses were able to come together for a few weeks back. This pop up shop, a special curated Juneteenth event allowed us to get back out amongst the community for the first time since the pre-pandemic days.
Hosted at Momentum Coffee shop in Chicago’s South Loop, this empowerment expo brought out a diverse set of businesses in the categories of health and beauty, fashion, home goods, food, and more. Beyond sales, the expo really provided a platform for support, empowerment, and collaboration which allowed for the perfect way to celebrate the Juneteenth holiday.
During the event, we had a variety of pieces available for sale. We introduced new shorts, re-released our black lives matter tees in a familiar and new color-way, and had some of our most popular accessories on hand. For those that could not attend the event, you can shop all of our remaining inventory here while supplies last.
We want to send huge thank you to everyone that stopped by to support and shop with us. Additionally, we want to thank our team that helped us set up and run the event ensuring a huge success for the brand. Finally, we want to thank Momentum Coffee and Allbutteredup for coordinating and allowing us to be apart of the pop up shop. It was truly a day to be remembered. Be sure to catch us at more pop up shops around the city and as always you can shop with us on our website.
